British Civil Rights Movement & Windrush Generation

During Black History Month, we went into Hornsey Housing Trust to talk about the Black British Civil Rights Movement and Windrush. Some of our attendees were directly connected to the Windrush Generation so they were able to share the realities of what life has been like for their families. We discussed notable figures within the Black British Civil Rights Movement and participants spoke about their experiences. The experiences ranged from how individuals celebrated their culture through music to participants experiences of racism and prejudice growing up.
